Tierrasanta
This community in San Diego, which in Spanish means “holy land” and is also sometimes called The Island in the Hills, was initially part of the Mission San Diego de Alcala ranch. Then, in the 1700s and 1800s, the area was used by the United States Marine Corps and in 1971, began being developed for residential use. This bustling upscale community was among the first master-planned neighborhoods in San Diego. It consists of family homes, condos, apartments, shopping centers, and parks.
