Santaluz

Santaluz is a recently established community in the northern inland part of San Diego County. Though sometime set back into a more rural part of the area, Santaluz is still conveniently accessed via Route 56 and I-5. Santaluz is considered a part of the bigger area called Black Mountain Ranch.

Santaluz residents are served by the Poway Unified School District with the recently opened campuses of Del Sur Elementary, Willow Grove Elementary, and Del Norte High School. Santaluz residents, as it is a newer, budding community, enjoy a close unified community feel, that is celebrated with many annual events, including the annual 4th of July celebration and fireworks show.

There are many golf courses and country clubs within easy access of Santaluz, including Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, Del Mar Country Club, Morgan Run Resort and Club, and Rancho Santa Fe Farm Golf Club. As Santaluz is a more affluent neighborhood, many residents take advantage of these nearby facilities. A newly-opened Willow Grove Park serves the community and offers recreational opportunities.

Nearby shopping opportunities that are easily accessed by a short drive from Santaluz are in 4S Ranch, Carmel Mountain Ranch, and Torrey Highlands. Because Santaluz is a mostly residential community, shopping does not abound in
